The Pasig Marikina River Channel Improvement Project Phase IV is extended to 2031 with a ₱57.7B budget. The expanded scope includes flood control upgrades, drainage improvements, and river design works. It aims to protect Pasig, Marikina, Quezon City, Taytay, and Cainta from severe flooding. Backed by DPWH and JICA, this project strengthens Metro Manila and Rizal’s climate resilience.
