The LRT-2 West Extension will stretch beyond the current Recto Station toward Manila’s Port Area.
The planned route will feature three new stations: Tutuban, Divisoria, and the final stop at Pier 4.
This extension aims to connect the densely populated and commercially vibrant districts of Manila directly to the LRT-2 network, making it easier for passengers to travel between the port, shopping hubs, and educational institutions.

Status:
The East Extension is already operational.

The West Extension will extend the line from Recto to Pier 4 in Manila.

Purpose:

The project is being considered through a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme due to budget limitations.
Status:

At the heart of the LRT-2 West and East Extension is the current operational stretch from Recto to Antipolo Station.

The East Extension will add two stations (Marikina and Antipolo) and extend the line by 4 kilometers into Antipolo City.
The West Extension will extend the line by 3.02 kilometers from Recto to Pier 4, adding three stations (Tutuban, Divisoria, and Pier 4).

LRT-2 West and East Extension – Eastward Expansion to Cogeo
The LRT-2 East Extension will extend the line further into Antipolo City, reaching SM Cherry Antipolo, Blue Mountains, and finally Cogeo.
Once complete, this expansion will connect the bustling commercial centers along Marcos Highway to residential communities deeper in Rizal Province.
Commuters from Cogeo will be able to travel to Metro Manila faster, avoiding heavy traffic along the Marilaque corridor.
The LRT-2 (Light Rail Transit Line 2) is undergoing both East and West extensions.
